The instructor is an Electrical Engineering Consultant who has taught Science at a Private School and taught Computer Technology for Eastland Vocational. As a child he became interested in Engineering by building various kits such as a siren kit, light flashers, televisions, oscillators, transmitters and computers. He credits his skills in Research and Design in Engineering with the opportunity to explore this as a child even more than his college work.
The students will learn to solder. They will also put together an electronics kit using tools. They will learn about circuit boards and how they work. This class is a great opportunity to encourage your child to explore the field of electronics and engineering. Girls and boys are welcome. He is the father of four and his oldest three are girls who all began soldering at age 5 and builing robotics kits, voice changers and more at age 8.
The cost of the materials will need to be borne by the participants. The training will be at the level taught at a high school vocational level.
If you have your own tool kit from last class your materials cost is the cost of the kit you choose. Instructor will call you with details.
Class cost is $65.00 for four weeks. Class is 1 and 1/2 hours per week.
