We have a number of scheduled events or pick a date and schedule your own! We can do any of the workshops listed below and many that are not listed! Call or email for availability or more information. Hope to see you and your troop soon at STUDIO J!

Daisy Petals
Green-Use Resources Wisely
We will create some interesting artwork from recycled materials.
We will make paper using clean recycled paper. This is fun and the paper is great to use for cards.
Relay race with recyclables
Decorate a new but reusable item.
11:00 a.m. to Noon
Rose-Make the world a better place
We will plant flowers in the Studio J children's garden if the weather cooperates.
We will take home a planted flower to brighten our home.
We will make bird feeders so that we will make the world a better place for them.
12:30 to 1:30
Violet-Be a sister to every Girl Scouts
We will do a study on Japanese Girl Scouts.
We will learn to use chop sticks.
We will learn origami and make some cranes for our fellow girl scouts in Japan. A group in Worthington is collecting them. We wil also make one to take home.
Our instructor will wear a Kimono from her friend in Japan and show several Japanese items.
We will make the flag of Japan.

Global Awareness 1:30 to 2:30
Dance (learning parts of Michael Jackson thriller and medley. These dances are challenging which makes it fun for the older girls.)

**Bring your own packed lunch. We have some vendors including arrow heads, necklaces and more. We also have personalized bags available and layered lotions. Everything is priced from .50 to $4.00. Girls would have fun shopping if they brought $5.00. They could get multiple items.
Brownie Try It's
Let's Pretend
Movies, stories, television shows, songs, and even dances are often base on "make-believe." When you pretend to be someone or something you're not, you're "acting." Go onstage with some of these activities:
Our teacher will lead the brownies in being a Mime, trying tongue twisters, creating a mask to take home, creating some stage props and acting out a well know fairy tale. This is a really fun try it. If you come as a troop you could show the fairy tale play later to other troops or use it as a service project. (Try it not included.)

Individuals can register as well as troops. Register by 5 days prior or schedule a time just for your troop.

Making Music
Music is the art of making sounds. Different people find different sounds pleasing to the ear. Some sounds in nature, like birdcalls, are musical.
One of our music instructors will teach you to move to the music, sing in rounds, sing action songs, learn a dance from Israel and create a drum then play it. (Try it not included)

Dancercize
Brownies & Juniors (Juniors will learn more involved dances.)
Dancing is a great way to exercise. Enjoy dancing to songs you will recognize. You'll enjoy wearing boas, shaking pom poms, dancing with thousands of bubbles in the air and more. We will learn dances together and enjoy a dance party. We even have our own elevated stage and microphones.
$7.00 Individuals can register as well as troops.
10 or more registering as a group receive a discounted rate of $6.00 each.

Register five days prior or schedule a time just for your troop.
**Note: We will be completeing the requirements for the dancercize try it for brownies and the dance patch for Juniors. Patches and try it's are not included.
Juniors
Art in 3 D
This workshop is really fun and you make some cool things to take home. We do a wire sculpture, origami, jewelry, a mobile and a 3D collage. Complete the requirements in this workshop. Patch is not included but all materials all.

$10.00 per girl scout includes all materials (This is a really cool workshop with lots of great take homes. If you are able to do it on patch day there is a great savings.

Light Blue: Being honest and fair
We make a friendship bracelet, do a gem hunt, create a 3D collage titled," Friends come in all sizes, shapes and colors.
$7.00 per girl scout
